Fallen Hero
Violence isn't always evil. What's evil is the infatuation with violence.
Jim Morrison
In violence, we forget who we are.

Sorin Creed, Half-Orc Historian (Half-orc Paragon4), seeker of knowledge, lost artifacts, and gruesome, harrowing combat. Sorin was staying with Allustan while helping him piece together the history of the Whispering Cairn. He tries to be very scholarly and civil, but his orcish blood usually gets the better of him, sending him into a seething, bloodthirsty rage at almost the slightest provocation. (How he managed to study anything without destroying all his books is beyond me...) He has proven himself quite handy in a fight, quite detrimental in diplomatic situations, and, notably, quite affectionate towards "Owlie," the orphaned owlbear he plans to raise as his own. Sorin was none too pleased to discover the group travelling with their former enemy, Filge. Sorin promised fellow half-orc Kullen the necromancer's eyes; he only managed to extract one, before he was stopped by Talin.
Sadly, Sorin gave in to his bloodlust one too many times, slaying a cleric of Hextor who had already surrendered. When he tried to explain his actions to the party, Thomas was willing to overlook the matter, and Croi initially defended the act as unfortunate but excuseable. But Fern was quite firm: either the orc was leaving the group, or she was. Sorin departed, barely saying a word, taking up Smenk on his offer of employment. Sorin's heart has turned away from the light of heroism, but that doesn't mean he won't cross paths with the heroes again. The only questions are: where? When? And what will be the result of that harrowing showdown?
