Did you hear what I said? With this ring I thee wed

A body in my bed, she was cool when I met her

But I think I like her better dead

- Gnarls Barkley, "Necromancer"

"...the undead don't judge."

- Filge

Name: Filge

Class: Wizard (Necromancer) 9/ Death Delver 2/ Worm Hunter 3

Race: Human

Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral Nefarious
Age: Late thirties?
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 150 lbs.
Eyes: Dull Brown, no left eye
Hair: Black, with prominent widow's peak
Weapon(s) of Choice: Crossbow, spectral hand, caustic sarcasm, arcane might
Tactics: Tactical delays (waiting until the fight is over before joining in); also quite a fan of poaching the enemy's undead, since this allows him to a.) be perceived as a hero, and b.) obtain undead.  Filge has also taken a liking to Electrical attacks and Force spells.

Filge's Perspective On:

Fern - She's good ta 'ave in a fight, 'nd is a lot smart'r than most give 'er credit for. Ah think she could make a 'alf-decent wizard. Maybe I can step in, and show 'er 'ow to actually cast magic...

  • Again, I'm surprised by th' mind she's got f'r Magic.  She seems t' get some of th' basic principles behind it.  She seems pret'y good 'bout figurin' out what spells are bein' cast.  She even 'as a good mind about th' strategies of usin' spells.  And yet, she isn't a Wizard.  I suppose it's just as well.  She'd prob'ly try to lie to the very concept of Magic, itself, about some legendary new spell, that no-one's 'eard about before.  Scary part is she could prob'ly somehow succeed...
  • ... or maybe she already did... I need to spend some more time with her, cuz' it looked like she was casting a Ray of Enfeeblement, but there's no way she picked up Wizardry that quickly... It just doesn't seem possible.  I guess it could be an elf thing, but who can say...

Thomas - In th' grand scheme 'a things, Thomas ain't that bad, and 'e's always eager to roast somethin' with a scorchin' ray or three. Granted, ah think sometimes 'e's a lit'le too eager to. Much like stand'rd wizard fare, 'e's convinced 'is own way, and own ideas, are the best. Main problem with this bloke, though, is that 'e's not rememberin' one a th' most 'mportant lessons. 'ere's always someone stronger than you. Always.

  • Well, Thomas seems t' have mellow'd out quite a bit lately.  Maybe it's 'cause e's outta Diamond Lake, and back in th' Free City.  Maybe it's 'cause 'e's away from chores, and Allust'n, and bein' followed around by some entourage, makin' 'im feel all import'nt.  Or maybe it's 'cause 'e's achieved 'is lifelong dream of turnin' into just about anything that's not 'imself.  Or perhaps some combination thereof... not that I c'n blame 'im, of course...
  • He has no problem waltzing into any, and I mean any, temple, and piss off the high priest, yet he doesn't want to be seen without his robe?  Seems like an odd sense of priority, but I like to think he's got reasons.  Not that we'll ever know, if he does.  He'll just let it sit down in the very depths of his consciousness, until right before it will mean the end of everything.  Not that I'm bitter about the illithid thing or anything.  At least I honestly didn't know until right then.

Vincent - A flamboy'nt man, w'th a flamboy'nt taste f'r rum. 'e's always lookin' f'r a good time, and usually only at th' expense of 'is own liv'r. 'e does seem ta be gettin' very buddy-buddy w'th me, and makes me wond'r wh't 'e wants.

  • Ah, I see, 'e wants to be t'rned into a demon.  'nd then, promp'ly, not... Y'know, y'think 'e'd ask th' person who changed 'im in th' first place, 'bout changin' 'im back.  But ya'd think wrong.  'nstead, 'e wants to seek out some Gem of Whatnot and Cheery Happiness, that may or may not 'ave been made by Ehlonna, and may or may not even exist...  You 'ave fun wit' that.
  • Ah'm not sure what Vincent did to catch the attention of the entire pantheon of Oerth, but remind me not to do that.  I guess that's what happens when you try to mess with what you are.  I suppose it's also possible that Hextor is messing with Ehlonna more than he's messing with Vincent directly.  Hopefully, Vincent'll be back to let us know one way or the other...

Croídhamhsa - Heh, talk 'bout not knowin' your limits. 'e's about as physic'lly strong as me, 'nd that's not sayin' much at all. 'is fool-'ardiness could almost be mistaken f'r courage. At least 'e seems t' be warmin' up t' me a bit. Now, if only 'e'd stop lookin' at Motey like that...

  • Y'know, I'm not so sure what t' make of Croi, 'ere.  He's quick to call something an Abomination, 'nd wish it Death.  Then 'e goes and tries to say that these sneaky, alien-looking Dopplegangers, shouldn't necissarily die.  'e also seems a bit more toler'nt o' Motey, even, yet less tolerant of everyone trying to run off in different directions.  Sometimes it's kind of a wonder any of the lot of us stay together.  Well, the more, the merrier, or some other bollocksy thing like that...
  • It's all nice and good that he's touched his Inner Beast Man, or whatever-the-heck, but I hope he doesn't forget that swinging that axe isn't the only way he can contribute.

Chaim - Chaim's too quiet f'r his own good. Like alotta elves, 'e seems very wise 'nd kinda naive at th' same time. Pret'y nice guy, 'nd seems t' be one of th' few who actu'lly consid'rs me parta th' group.

  • 'E seems t' be takin' quite th' liking of this Ethios chap.  And 'e seems like th' only one, sometimes.  Not sure wh't Chaim is thinkin' 'bout, but 'e seems a bit less tolerable of everyone's... sh'nanig'ns.  Not that I c'n blame 'im at times, but somethin' seems t' be botherin' 'im.  Makes me want t' ask what th' Drow fixation's all about.

Sorin - ... roight...

'e, I think, would be one a th' few people th' rest a th' group wouldn't 'ave a probl'm with me turnin' into an undead. Gods know I'd be 'appy to oblige...

Talin - Ah'm actually not complet'ly sure what ta make of Talin. She's easily been th' kindest outta all of 'em. 'nd even weird'r, is that she doesn't seem t' 'ave any alteri'r motives for it either. She's th' reason ah'm even alive, really. Then she goes 'nd makes me dinn'r 'nd stuff like that. Seems weird f'r someone to actual'y seek me comp'ny. Mine 'nd Motey's, that is. They both also seem t' be fond a one another, 'nd ah'm not rightf'lly sure why. I wonder if she's doin' anythin' right now...
  • It's gotta be tough bein' Talin.  Everyone lookin' to her to be the Guiding Light 'o th' party, and she's just a girl.  She wants t' do th' kinda things every other girl her age does, but can't let herself, even once, f'r fear of settin' a bad example, or bein' thought less of.  I don't envy it.  Just keep in mind, a tattooed good person, or a pierced good person, or a drunk good person, is still a good person...  I'm just glad it's not me everyone's gawkin' at.
  • Correction, I know it's tough to be Talin.  Trying to keep everyone together, but offa each other's throats, while trying to help Vincent with his problems, not to mention trying to get Thomas to open up some.  She has to worry about keeping everyone from dying, especially since it seems she's not only the primary healer of the group, but, at times, the only one.  All that on top of putting herself into harm's way to make sure we don't fall into a 90 foot deep pit of flaming spikes, coated with poisonous acid. ... That summons a Vrock... And everyone is too busy gawking at Vincent's 'heritage', or whatever thing that comes up that it seems no-one's even noticed.  Well, almost no-one...
Ethios - I think Ethios musta been attacked by th' worms, who ate through 'is sense of humor, before choking to death on his Spite and Malice.  Seriously, I've seen more jovial guys at booze-free dwarven funerals.  Seriously, for yourself, if not th' rest of us, take that somber Dwarf that crawled up y' ass and died, bite down on something, brace yourself, and pull it out.  Life's to short to be all, 'I'm alive, but dead inside, but Walking as an Empty Husk of a Man' schtick.  I should know...
